“Space Jam A New Legacy 2021” (also known as “Space Jam 2”) is an upcoming American live-action/animated sports comedy film directed by Malcolm D. Lee. This movie is the sequel of 1996 “Space Jam” and basketball stars LeBron James and Don Cheadle, Sonequa Martin-Green and Cedric Joe. The film also uses the role of Ruby Tunes, such as Bugs Bunny (same as Michael Jordan in the original film, starred with James), Daffy Duck, Tweety, Pepé Le Pew, Marvin the Martian, and Kath Soucie’s remake for her. Multi-role plays Lola Bunny, and Bill Skarsgård plays Pennywise. James also served as a producer with Ryan Coogler, who co-wrote the script with Sev Ohanian.
“Space Jam A New Legacy” is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 16, 2021, at Warner Bros. Pictures, and released on HBO Max. This will be the first dramatized film since “Rooney Tunes: Action Remake” in 2003. It will feature “Rooney Tunes” and, like previous hybrid movies, it will combine real-life and traditional hand-painted 2D Animation and some CGI effects.
When basketball champion and global icon LeBron James and his youngest son Dom (who dreams of becoming a video game developer) are trapped in the digital space by gangster Al-G Rhythm, LeBron must lead Bugs Bunny, led by Daffy Duck They went home safely and Pork Pig, Lola Bunny and the whole gang (the notorious and undisciplined “Rooney Tunes”) defeated Al-G’s digital champion on the court.

The main photography started on June 25, 2019. On July 16, 2019, it was announced that Nans had left the project because he and “the studio/producer had different views on the creation of Space Jam 2” and Malcolm D. Lee would replace him. Bradford Young, a former cinematographer, also left the project and was replaced by Salvatore Totino.
Locations used for shooting include the Sheats-Goldstein Residence owned by James Goldstein, including the temporary conversion of its tennis courts into basketball courts for shooting. Production ends on September 16, 2019. In California, a total of US$183.7 million was spent on filming and a tax refund of US$23.8 million was obtained from the state. James held a farewell party to discuss how he viewed the first space jam movie when he was a child in Akron, Ohio, when production was completed, which was subsequently leaked on August 16, 2020, and James and his #6 Photo of Tune Squad clothing.
In March 2020, photos taken at the scene and a short recording of the packaging party were leaked online, indicating that the film will feature characters from all other Warner properties. On April 30, 2020, James officially released the title and logo of the movie through Instagram, namely “Space Jam: New Legacy”.

One of the actors Don Cheadle (Don Cheadle) said in an interview that LeBron was injured during filming, and the filmmakers had to shoot 14 hours a day. This is something both actors and James are not used to. He also said that he “exercises like a horse.” On October 18, 2020, the synopsis was leaked from a test screening email from Kipo and “Age of Fantastic Creatures” and the ultimate space writer Ben Meckler.
“Space Jam A New Legacy” is scheduled to be released in theaters in the United States by Warner Bros. Pictures on July 16, 2021. It will also be released on HBO Max for one month at the same time. On September 29, 2020, SpringHill Co. Entertainment, the film’s production company, signed a four-year contract with Universal Pictures. This is the fourth and final independent film of the film until the contract is terminated.
