Beckett 2021 is an upcoming action thriller directed by Ferdinando Cito Filomarino. The movie stars John David Washington, Boyd Holbrook, Vicky Krieps, and Alicia Vikander.
“Beckett” is scheduled for its world premiere at the 74th Locarno Film Festival on August 4, 2021, and is scheduled to be released by Netflix on August 13, 2021.
While on vacation in Greece, American tourist Beckett (John David Washington) became the target of a hunt after a devastating accident. Forced to flee for his life and desperately went to the US Embassy in Athens to purge him. As the authorities approached, tensions escalated and political turmoil intensified, Beckett fell deeper into a dangerous conspiracy network.
In April 2019, it was announced that John David Washington, Alicia Vikander, Boyd Holbrook, and Vicky Krieps will star in the film, which will be produced by Luca Guadagnino. Filming began in Athens in the same month.
In October 2020, Netflix won the distribution rights for the movie, and the movie “Born to be Murdered” is scheduled to be released in 2021. In January 2021, it was announced that the film had been renamed, Beckett. The film will have its world premiere at the 74th Locarno Film Festival on August 4, 2021, and is scheduled to be released on August 13, 2021.
