“Don’t Breathe 2 2021” is an upcoming American action horror thriller directed by Rodo Sayagues, who co-written the script with Fede Álvarez, Álvarez, Sam Raimi, and Produced by Rob Tapert. This movie is the sequel to the 2016 film “Don’t Breathe”, directed by Álvarez, starring Stephen Lang, and once again as Norman Nordstrom/”The Blind Man” and Brendan Sexton III and Madelyn Grace played supporting roles.
After the critical and commercial success of the first film, negotiations for a sequel began in November 2016, and Álvarez will return as the film director. After the delay, the project was approved by the studio in January 2020, Sayagues succeeded Álvarez as the director, and Lang resumed his role in March 2021. The main photography started on August 7, 2020, in Belgrade, Serbia, and on October 8, 2020.
“Don’t Breathe 2” is scheduled to be released by Sony Pictures on August 13, 2021.
The sequel takes place a few years after the initial deadly home invasion, where Norman Nordstrom (Stephen Lang) lived a peaceful life until his past sins caught up with him.
