In September 2020, Ben Wheatley announced that he had created and directed a horror movie within 15 days of August. In November 2020, it was announced that the cast includes Joel Fry, Ellora Torchia, Hayley Squires, and Reece Shearsmith, and Neon plans to release in the United States.
The film’s score was composed by Clint Mansell. The soundtrack was released by Lakeshore Records and Invada Records.
On January 29, 2021, the film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, and on April 16, 2021, it was released in theaters.
