Midnight in the Switchgrass 2021 is an upcoming American crime thriller directed by Randall Emmett and written by Alan Horsnail. It stars Megan Fox, Bruce Willis, Emile Hirsch, Lukas Haas, Colson Baker, and Lydia Hull.
It is scheduled to be released by Lionsgate Pictures on July 23, 2021.
Based on the true story of the most dangerous serial killer in Texas. FBI agent Carl Hert (Bruce Willis) and his partner Rebecca Lombardi (Meghan Fox) are very close to cracking down on a sex trafficking gang. When they realized that their investigation crossed the path of a cruel serial killer, they collaborated with the Texas Ranger Byron Crawford (Emile Hirsch) who has years of experience in the case. When Rebecca herself is kidnapped by the target and her life hangs in the balance, Karl and Byron have precious hours to piece together the final clues and end the infamous “Truck Stop Killer”.
On January 22, 2020, it was announced that film producer Randall Emmet will make his directorial debut in this film, and Emile Hirsch will star in the film. Megan Fox and Bruce Willis joined the cast on February 16, and filming began in Puerto Rico on March 9. On March 12, 2020, Lukas Haas, Colson Baker, Sistine Stallone, Caitlin Carmichael, Michael Beach, Welker White, Alec Monopoly, and Jackie Cruz joined the cast of the movie. On March 16, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the production of this movie was suspended. The production of the film resumed on June 29.
It is scheduled to be released by Lionsgate Pictures on July 23, 2021.
