“Naked Singularity 2021” is an American comedy film directed by Chase Palmer. The directorial debut was written by Palmer and David Matthews. Adapted from Sergio De La Pava’s 2008 novel of the same name. It is starring John Boyega, Olivia Cooke, Bill Skarsgård, Ed Skrein, Linda Lavin, and Tim Blake Nelson.
It has its world premiere at the San Francisco International Film Festival on April 9, 2021.
Screen Media Films is scheduled to be released in limited form on August 6, 2021, before the VOD on August 13, 2021.
An idealistic young New York City public defender was burned down by the system and on the verge of being disqualified as a lawyer. Seeing signs of the collapse of the universe around him, he decided to rob a client of his multimillion-dollar drug deal.
In December 2018, it was announced that John Boyega had joined the cast of the film, and Chase Palmer and David Matthews co-written the script. Ridley Scott will serve as executive producer under his Scott Free Productions banner. Dick Wolf will also serve as executive producer. In April 2019, Olivia Cook joined the cast of the film. In May 2019, Ed Skrein and Bill Skarsgard joined the cast of the movie.
The main photography started in New York City in May 2019.

It has its world premiere at the San Francisco International Film Festival on April 9, 2021. In June 2021, Screen Media Films obtained the distribution rights for this film. It is scheduled to be released in limited quantities on August 6, 2021, and then on-demand on August 13, 2021.
