One Night in Miami (2020) – Amazing of Mobi Racer

One Night in Miami 2020 is an American drama film about the imaginary meeting of Malcolm X, Muhammad Ali, Jim Brown, and Sam Cooke in a Miami hotel room in February 1964. Celebrate Ali defeating Sonny Liston with an amazing title. This is the first film directed by Regina King. It was adapted by Kemp Powers based on his stage play of the same name and was written by Kingsley Ben-Adir, Eli Goree, Aldis Hodge, and Leslie Odom Jr. to take the lead.

One Night in Miami

The Venice Film Festival held its world premiere on September 7, 2020, and there has never been a film directed by an African American before. The critics are overwhelmingly positive, praising King’s for his direction, acting, and writing. Amazon Studios plans to release a limited theater edition on December 25, 2020, and then digitally release it on Prime Video on January 15, 2021.

In July 2019, “Deadline Hollywood” reported that Regina King will direct and execute the script for Powers. In January 2020, King announced the appointment of Kingsley Ben-Adir, Eli Goree, Aldis Hodge, Leslie Odom Jr., and Lance Reddick to take the lead. The main photography work began in January 2020 in New Orleans, Louisiana. In October 2020, Marisa Miller joined the cast of the movie.

In September 2020, Leslie Odom Jr. stated that he and Nashville’s songwriter Sam Ashworth jointly contributed to the movie “Speak Now” composed the song.

The film has its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 7, 2020. It was also screened at the Toronto International Film Festival and won the runner-up of the “People’s Choice Award” at the festival. It has been or planned to be shown at film festivals in Zurich, London, Hampton, Mill Valley, Middelburg, Chicago, and Montclair. Amazon Studios won the global distribution rights for the film in July 2020. The film is scheduled to be released in a limited edition on December 25, 2020, and then streamed on Prime Video on January 15, 2021.
