Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe (announced as “The Phineas and Faber Movie”) is an American animated adventure comedy film based on the Disney Channel animated television series “Phineas and Faber”. This is the second feature-length film in the Phineas and Ferb series, and is also an independent sequel to the 2011 film “Phineas and Ferb: The Second Dimension”. The events of the film occurred before the events of the last episode of the series and the spin-off sequel series “Milo Murphy’s Law”.
Phineas and Ferb: The anti-universe Candace will be released on Disney+ on August 28, 2020.
Phineas and Faber travel across the galaxy to save their sister Candace, who was kidnapped by aliens and discovered Utopia on a distant planet. She has no nasty little brothers.

Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe : When developing a new streaming service Disney+, Disney approached the creators of Phineas and Faber Dan Bowenmill and Jeff “Marsh” Marsh and asked them to develop a new one for this service Phineas and Faber movies. Although initially uncertain, the two eventually agreed to develop the concept of a film that tells a story, in which Candice is the main character and the character in the story is a “dead end”.
On April 11, 2019, it was announced that a new movie called “Phineas and the Little Movie” will be released on Disney+ within one year of its release. The film will be produced by Disney Television Animation, which is their first non-television film since “Teacher’s Pet” in 2004, and Marsh and Marsh will serve as executive producers. According to Jim Bernstein, the film has nothing to do with the dramatic Phineas and Faber films that were being made before.

On March 27, 2020, Disney TV Animation was temporarily closed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the production of the film is still in the foreseeable future. On July 1, 2020, it was confirmed that Bob Bowen will direct the film. The film was officially packaged and produced on July 11, 2020.
According to Marsh, Bowen managed to find a “creative solution” to a story problem in the film. They initially opposed it but finally agreed to use it in the film after Bowen released it to them again as an animated work.
Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe: During the film’s announcement, it was reported that Vincent Martinella, Ashley Tisdale, Dee Bradley Baker, Bowen Mill, Caroline Rhea, Marsh, and Alison Stoner will replay their roles in the series, and David Erigo Jr. will replay his role as Ferb from Milo Murphy’s Law. Replaced the original voice actor Thomas Brodie-Sangster. In May 2020, Povenmire revealed that Bowen will be a cameo for Trader Ted, the truck driver, and will resume his position from Milo Murphy’s Law.
On July 2, 2020, it was reported that Ali Wong, Wayne Brady, Diedrich Bader and Thomas Middleditch joined The characters created for this movie. Yankovic originally planned to reproduce his role as Milo Murphy from Milo Murphy’s “The Law”, but in the end his cameo was deleted from the last movie. However, Jankovic will still appear in the movie as a different role.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, many actors had to record their lines at home. On June 14, 2020, Martella revealed that he has finished recording his lines. After recording the lines, the voice actor sends the content of the dialogue to the editor of the film.
Since Disney TV animation was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Povenmire personally performed other animation fixes at home. On May 28, 2020, Povenmire and Marsh stated that the production of the film was not hindered by the temporary closure because the animators “always spend a lot of time at home. They have technology that can be linked”.
During Expo D23 in 2019, Marsh and Povenmire revealed that the movie will play “nine to ten” original songs. In November 2019, Povenmire revealed that the recording of the song has started. On May 28, 2020, Povenmire and Marsh revealed that Karey Kirkpatrick and Kate Micucci had created a new song for this movie.
On July 2, 2020, it was announced that Emanuel Kiriakou and Povenmire had jointly created a new song for the film, and Feineas and Fuber (Feb) composer Danny Jacob (Danny Jacob) is confirmed to be composing the music for this movie. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Povenmire and Marsh had to record some music for the movie remotely. On July 8, 2020, Povenmire confirmed that the film will include 11 original songs and songs by Milo Murphy’s Law. The soundtrack album of the movie will be released by Walt Disney Records on the same day the movie is released.
On July 24, 2020, the first single “Such a Beautiful Day” in the soundtrack composed by Povenmire and Kirkpatrick and sung by Candace was released. The song was added late in production because the filmmakers felt that Candace’s attempt to disrupt Phineas and Faber’s initial opening was “too harsh” for listeners who were not familiar with the original series, making the audience unable to sympathize with the character.
Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe is scheduled to be released exclusively on Disney+ on August 28, 2020.
