“Reminiscence 2021” is an upcoming American science fiction film, written and directed by Lisa Joy in her directorial debut. The movie stars Hugh Jackman, Rebecca Ferguson, Thandiwe Newton, Cliff Curtis, Marina de Tavira, Daniel Wu, Mojean Aria, Brett Cullen, Natalie Martinez, Angela Sarafyan, and Nico Parker.
“Reminiscence ” is scheduled to be released in the United States by Warner Bros. Pictures on August 20, 2021, and will also be shown simultaneously on the HBO Max streaming service.
Nicholas “Nick” Bannister (Hugh Jackman) is a rough and lonely veteran who lives in Miami, which is submerged by sea level in the near future. He is an expert in dangerous occupations: he provides heavyweights to clients. Warm any chance of memory they want. When he met a mysterious young woman named May (played by Rebecca Ferguson), his life changed. It started as a simple loss and found and turned into a passionate love affair. However, when the memory of another client implicates May in a series of violent crimes, Bannister must go deep into the dark world of the past and uncover the truth about the woman he fell in love with.
In January 2019, it was announced that Lisa Joy will make her directorial debut in this movie, starring Hugh Jackman and Rebecca Ferguson. In March 2019, it was reported that Warner Bros. purchased the distribution rights for the film. In August, Thandiwe Newton joined the cast. Daniel Wu, Angela Sarafyan, Natalie Martinez, Marina de Tavira, and Cliff Curtis joined in October. Filming began on October 21, 2019, in New Orleans and Miami.
“Reminiscence” was originally scheduled to be released in the United States by Warner Bros. Pictures on August 20, 2021. It was originally scheduled to be released on April 16, 2021. After that, the stall was replaced by Mortal Kombat. The film was not dated due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was later rescheduled to be released in the United States on September 3, 2021, and on August 25, 2021, in International Theaters.
The US release date was subsequently postponed to August 27 to avoid the Shanghai-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and then again to August 20. As part of its all film plans for 2021, Warner Bros. will also broadcast Reminiscence on the HBO Max service in the United States. After a period of one month, the film will be removed until the normal home media release schedule.
