Hold the Dream (1986) – Amazing of Mobi Racer

“Hold the Dream 1986” is a two-part British miniseries, produced in 1986, based on the 1985 novel of the same name by Barbara Taylor Bradford. This is the second book in the Emma Harte series, following “The Material Woman”. “Keeping Dreams” continues the story of Emma Harte played by Deborah Kerr, with Jenny Seagrove as young Emma succeeding Paula Fairley.

Hold the Dream

Paula Fairley, the head of the Harte department store chain, has assumed the burden of preserving Emma’s legacy. However, she dissent in the extended family, especially her cousin Jonathan Ainsley (Jonathan Ainsley).

Her marriage to Jim Fairley was so unhappy that she fell into the arms of her childhood sweetheart Shane O’Neill (Stephen Collins), who was Blake O’Neill (Blackie O’Neill) (Liam Neill)’s grandson. Paula worked hard to prove that she was in a male-dominated world, just like her grandmother before, and the heartache and loss she suffered reflected her grandmother’s life. Emma’s request of Paula to keep her dream is what drives Paula to fight and overcome her personal tragedy and stand out, thus retaining the name of Harte for the next generation.
