Prom Ride : From Carrie to The Prom Night to Dead of Dead, the prom of horror movies has become a bloodbath for decades, but few people who frighten and move dare to explore luxury The terrible potential of the saloon to prom… Frankly, for good reason, because it is a very stupid, narrow concept. What’s next? Corsage: thorns?
But hey, I want Prom Ride to find a way to show a full movie in a limousine (a Hummer limousine of course), which is impressive, basically using it as a typical Closed horror scenes (hut in the woods, an abandoned crazy shelter, Trump rally, etc.).
The limitation of the story is this: Eight friends, including the black couple Sienne (Joi Liaye) and Wale (Byron Thomas), all lived in limousines during the dance (there is less about the plot before the dance, of which Including FULL-ON music number, the better). Their driver (poor Omar Gooding (although he was a producer, he did it himself)) got out of the car to investigate, fell on an outside window, and was killed by an invisible person.
The killer wearing the mirror then controls the luxury car, forcing the teenagers to degenerate themselves in various ways, revealing the secrets that contradict each other, until the truth is finally revealed: the killer has always been the driver. He pretended to be dead and threw them away, and was actually with Sienne, who orchestrated all this, only to return to Wale and cheat with one of the other girls in the limousine. Too many kills?
(Heather Paige Cohn also plays Alejandra, a surprising same-sex date of a girl in the group, and basically to provide the necessary horror film “T&A.”)
Prom Ride is basically a poor person, mental torture replaced physical torture, including the pain that the viewer has to sit in endless quarrels, fights, and slow dances? But at least in the non-all-black horror movies, it is refreshing that a few black planners have changed. (Of course, this needs black producers, directors, and writers to achieve.)
