Later this month, Warner Bros. confirmed that lead actor Jill Perez Abraham was revealed to play roles in February, as were Charlie and Max Carver in March. The cast of Barry Keoghan was announced in August 2020. Greig Fraser worked as a photographer and reunited with Reeves after Reeves co-produced “Let Me In” (2010). In March, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Warner Bros. decided to move production to Liverpool. Unlike other film-making studios, Warner Bros. did not intend to suspend the filming of “Batman”, but eventually suspended it for two weeks on March 14.
On March 25, Reeves announced an indefinite suspension of filming and plans to resume filming under safe conditions. Soon thereafter, Andrew Jack, the dialect coach of the work, died of COVID-19. “Variety” reported that it will not be possible to restart production until around mid-May, so the release date is expected to be delayed.

Reeves said that his goal was to make a movie that looked convincing, and said that Chinatown, the French neighborhood, and taxi drivers were sources of inspiration.
